Née à Lourdes en 1979, Fantine Samaha est une artiste peintre franco-libanaise dont le parcours est marqué par le voyage, le déplacement et la rencontre de différentes cultures. Après avoir vécu ses premières années entre la France et l'Allemagne, elle s'installe au Liban avec sa famille avant de retourner en France à l'âge de neuf ans en raison de la guerre. Elle passera ensuite plus de vingt-cinq années en France, où se construisent sa sensibilité artistique et son regard sur le monde, avant de revenir s'établir au Liban en 2009.

Autodidacte, elle débute véritablement la peinture en 2013. Elle explore avec passion différentes techniques et thématiques, guidée avant tout par son amour des animaux. Ses premières oeuvres mettent en scène des portraits animaliers, bientôt rejoints par des portraits humains et d'autres sujets qui lui permettent d'affiner progressivement son langage visuel. Au fil des années, elle développe plusieurs collections et expérimente différents univers artistiques.

Mais c'est avec la naissance de sa collection « Mon voyage imaginaire » qu'elle trouve pleinement sa voie. Cette série marque un tournant décisif dans son parcours : la couleur y prend une place centrale, les animaux deviennent porteurs de symboles, et le surréalisme lui offre un espace de liberté où l'imaginaire peut s'exprimer sans contrainte.

Born in Lourdes, France, in 1979, Fantine Samaha is a French-Lebanese painter whose journey has been shaped by travel, displacement, and encounters with diverse cultures. After spending her early years between France and Germany, she moved to Lebanon with her family before returning to France at the age of nine due to the war. She would then spend more than twenty-five years in France, where her artistic sensibility and vision of the world took shape, before settling once again in Lebanon in 2009.

A self-taught artist, she truly began her painting practice in 2013. Driven by a deep love of animals, she explored a wide range of techniques and subjects with passion and curiosity. Her earliest works featured animal portraits, soon followed by human portraits and other themes that gradually helped her refine her visual language. Over the years, she developed several collections and experimented with different artistic universes.

It was with the creation of her collection “My imaginary journey” that she fully found her artistic voice. This series marked a decisive turning point in her career: color became a central element, animals evolved into powerful symbols, and surrealism offered her a space of freedom where imagination could unfold without limits.
